Good afternoon, all.
If we have not yet become acquainted, then please, allow me to introduce myself. I am Sebastian Michaelis, another recently arrived Outsider, and most pertinent for why I make this address today, recently employed on LILITH’s base here in Neo-Tokyo. My official title is the kitchen manager for the cafeteria, but as needs must, I have taken on some additional responsibilities. I may not be in service to my lord here, but I still feel it important to best offer my skill as a butler.
First, on matters of food.
I am attempting to improve the menu on offer in the cafeteria, and I hope that anyone that has stopped by to try the improved offerings in recent weeks has enjoyed them. However, I would very much like to expand such offerings. If there is a particular dish that you find yourself missing, please, do let me know. I will endeavor to recreate it with your assistance, though I can make no guarantees. If you have a recipe I can follow, all the better.
Second, on matters of facility maintenance.
While our automated services are adequate, I do believe that the order and cleanliness of the base could be improved. Thus, the additional responsibilities I have taken on. If you find any part of the base in disrepair or would perhaps like your personal quarters cleaned regularly, please let me know. It would be my pleasure to do so, as a tidy home makes for happier people.
If you would like a full list of services I offer, I would be glad to provide it. I simply fear that this is already a rather long announcement.
Thank you very much for your attention. Do have a wonderful day.

Five stars, Sebastian!

I am honored.
Though, I still must ask. Is there any area in which I could improve? It may be impossible, but I still strike for perfection in all things, so if there is even a slight area of oversight, I would like to correct it.

Oh, you are asking the right individual for this!

— Nutrition. The world at large is limited in regards to its agricultural selection, with many edible flora and fauna having long gone extinct. Finding nutritious alternatives for a variety of diets ranging from obligate carnivore to "has starved most their lifetime" to ensure LILITH's Outsiders meet their caloric needs without sacrificing taste is a priority. Laois Touden is a passionate nutritionist, I recommend working alongside him.
— Etiquette and protocol knowledge. We travel internationally. Continue studying a wide range of cultural etiquette to allow seamless service in any context.
— Combat proficiency. Do be sure to train when you need to. While your duties ought to encompass supporting those of us who are fit and kitted for combat, it would never hurt you to master additional modern forms of combat, including non-lethal methods to ensure your service is not disrupted. However, if anyone is asking the support class to fight, they ought to re-examine the purpose of our team assignments.
— Crisis management. The kaiju appear to becoming more intelligent and cunning, and I do foresee a continued increase in psychological warfare and separation tactics that focus on keeping us apart so that our numbers and skillsets are limited. I would argue that 80-90% of Outsiders are exceptionally, stringently moralistic and refuse to be flexible at times.
— Base management and interpersonal skills. Stay ahead of trends in technology and household management systems, ensuring that at least the Outsiders' downtime incorporates modern solutions to issues such as food scarcity, inter-personal arguments and strife. Make sure you meet everyone and learn all you can!

These are all very sensible, though one point is one I am simply curious about, perhaps for gossip alone. Have we had difficulties in integrating into the local cultures previously?

[ He takes his duty seriously. Even if he won't help them fix every problem ( just the ones that most affect him ). The rest, is PRIVATE. ]
"Difficulties" to say the least. Some of us adjust more than others, some refuse to compromise at all. Despite that we are mandated to fulfill LILITH's goal, some have shown themselves extremists for their own morals or cause. It is less that we have integrated poorly into cultures, and more that some of us are poor teammates, thus affecting our ability to function as a multi-faceted, multi-front operation.

I see! That makes far more sense. It was not my impression that we interacted with the locals very much from the reports, so the idea that it is an internal affair is far more sensible.
It is a difficult one, though. Were this a true military operation, then the weak-willed should be excised, obviously. But as my impression is that LILITH is perhaps overly conciliatory, a more subtle hand is required.
Do you think that integration is worthwhile? Or possible, for that matter. For if not, then extreme morals make an excellent sword to fall upon.

LILITH is considered a disaster-relief organization, to my recollection. We are not militant, nor political, but an independent force uniquely authorized and expected to stop kaiju and preserve the world. Everyone interprets the extent of that responsibility differently, but no matter what, we are required to function that way.
[ yay brainwashing via implant ( and the app process tbh )! ]
Personally, I do not find interactions with humanity worth my efforts. They live and die fleeting lives, and I cannot find connection to them as a whole. Individuals, yes. There are interesting individuals to be found always. I would prefer to terminate all threats, and return to my own life.
But, that is not always what I am permitted to do. So, I deign to interact with some of aspects of humanity. My job is to be social, after all.

[ what would he eat, after all? ]
What of the difficult Outsiders, in that case? What issues do they take with the mission? Simply casualties?
no subject
[ it'd probably mean getting back to ciel, sooner ]
Casualties. Perceived disregard for civilian life. Differences between our beliefs in nature vs. nurture, ideals, combat styles, or prioritization choices. Personality clashes are a big part, as well.

[ got it in one, set... ]
The usual, in that case. Humans really never change in what they squabble over...
Perhaps it is not worth it, in that case. They may have their petty complaints, and those of sounder mind will go to work. They may not like the result, mind, but I do not care.
