@Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight --- [audio]
[In the morning, around 10am, last week of September, a video feed blinks onto the network. Bakugo sits on a couch in front of a window, his reflection looking back at him from the window beyond. Wearing a simple all-black t-shirt and sweats combo like he's usually in, a small white pattern on the side of the shirt.]
Hey.
[Despite his rough voice, he sounds... controlled.]
What happened in Seoul sucked. We all have opinions on each of the results that followed. I'm not here to say who's right or wrong or to shove blame around. I want to talk about how to move forward.
What can we do better? How can we prevent something like Seoul from happening again? I've thought about it and thought about it, but I don't have all the answers. What went wrong, where I messed up... I'm not content with my level right now. The Outsiders are a team. Even if we don't have complete control over our directions, we still support each other. That's what I believe. So I'm asking you.
[Right, time to get on with it.]
On future missions, we shouldn't split up. Even if we have to face two kaiju in the same battle, we're better together. Last time, we were divided and only one half had military backup. I'm not saying to rebel against LILITH, but if a choice comes down to split up or stay together, no one knows us more than us.
[ooc: please note, this isn't to be taken as encouraging a coup to lilith's orders. rather it's an ic discussion about the benefits and detriments of dividing the outsider force during missions, then possibly compromising on future battles.]
We need to take the kaiju down faster. The longer they rampage, the more collateral damage we take. We know their weaknesses, but we're not fast enough. We need a better strategy to take them down. A lot of our powers are strong on their own, but could grow stronger working off each other. Tell me what you can do; if you're not good at strategizing or don't want to, there are Outsiders who can work with that.
[ooc: there have been posts about this in the past, but consider treating this as an avenue for potential team ups or creative combos. if you're not good fighting on the front lines, team up with someone who is while you cover their backs or support from the rear. develop a one-two combination attack with an ally to use for the next kaiju fight to fish for higher damage. transform the spread offense into a focused blitz. go wild.]
These kaiju continue attacking the cities. Has anyone figured out why? The orcas flooded the bay to hunt, the geckos came for Tokyo's electricity, that damn worm lured Vegas citizens as violent incubators. Who knows what the hell the dragons wanted. The rifts aren't regular enough to be a beacon. If we can figure out what draws the kaiju, we should use that to either take the fight to them or lure those monsters away from the cities.
[ooc: general kaiju habit discussion here. maybe they won't be able to prevent the kaiju from attacking the cities in the future, but at least talking about potential strategies to cull damage to city and populace is encouraged.]
I'll keep this short, so listen up. A lot of our powers were screwed up when we came from our home dimensions. But LILITH is able to completely shut down an Outsider's abilities through the oculars for as long as they want. I'm sure you can figure out why they'd do that.
We weren't brought here only to kill kaiju. We were brought here to save this world. But we're not perfect, and we're not able to do it alone. We have to work together to surpass where we are now.
By the way, for whatever damn reason, some Outsiders' oculars are getting interference and texting is messing up right now, so keep it to audio if you can or they might miss your response.
[This is probably the calmest some people have ever seen Bakugo, but this is also very serious and he means it.Hardly a curse word up there. The video is on repeat, so people can replay it and join in the discussion like an extended game of telephone tag.]
[OOC: Please note, there's zero intent for a rebellion or civil war to happen in the overarching community plot, so a coup isn't on the table. But not talking about what happened would be strange. So... Group mingle! Feel free to have your characters read a text-based transcript of the video as an attachment below the posting. This mingle log is audio by default, but obviously you can transition to text as you like. 1) ▶ Should we split up or stay together?
On future missions, we shouldn't split up. Even if we have to face two kaiju in the same battle, we're better together. Last time, we were divided and only one half had military backup. I'm not saying to rebel against LILITH, but if a choice comes down to split up or stay together, no one knows us more than us.

2) ▶ How do we improve our fights against the kaiju?
We need to take the kaiju down faster. The longer they rampage, the more collateral damage we take. We know their weaknesses, but we're not fast enough. We need a better strategy to take them down. A lot of our powers are strong on their own, but could grow stronger working off each other. 3) ▶ Can we use the kaiju's habits against them?
These kaiju continue attacking the cities. Has anyone figured out why? The orcas flooded the bay to hunt, the geckos came for Tokyo's electricity, that damn worm lured Vegas citizens as violent incubators. Who knows what the hell the dragons wanted. The rifts aren't regular enough to be a beacon. If we can figure out what draws the kaiju, we should use that to either take the fight to them or lure those monsters away from the cities.

4) ▶ Our limitations.

However, it would be ideal to have a smaller group that stays behind at all times. Ten to twenty percent of our numbers, perhaps. This ensures no matter what, there will always be a group ready to take action even if our main force is elsewhere. Back in Seoul, leaving a small force behind may have been enough to hold back the wounded Kaiju until the main force returned.
Such a strategy presents other advantages. It is not impossible for us to walk into a trap someday, or for the kaijus' powers to overwhelm us as they did in Las Vegas. This smaller group could rescue the main group from such predicaments when needed. I realize many may object to staying behind while others are fighting, but this is what I believe to be the most efficient way to ensure further tragedy be avoided.

[How ironic. Though considering how many of them went berserk...]
Are we gonna volunteer each time we leave behind an anchor group, or set people?
[Because leaving a bunch of heavy-hitters behind could run counterpoint to leaving behind a group of support. Probably a mix would be best, though some Outsiders might like to be permanent "on call" anchors.]

I am still willing to lend my summoner skills to those who can use it and want it. I've been able to provide a few Outsiders with more energy in battle. A summoner's own magic is shared with those he summons. Mine would be yours for the taking.
[He's got a lot of magical energy, too. There's a brief pause as Raidou gathers his words together. This is a lot of talking for him.]
This applies to those among us who, shall we say, are not human or not fully so. Those aligned with the "devils" I summoned back home. And, you will not need to worry about protecting me in battle now, either. I recently received an upgrade from LILITH that will make me physically stronger, as well as more resilient.

All Might could do that. He's sure of it.]
What Doom Queen said about leaving an anchor group behind if we need to is smart. Otherwise, staying together's the optimal choice, unless it's obvious splitting up's advantageous.
[And considering what happened with the dragon, splitting up was not obviously to their advantage. It was a hope... that ended up backfiring twice.
The rest piques a question.]
How far can you be away from someone you're bolstering?

(Gomen. Is it OK I pop in here...) @dragontales, voice message
Does one have to be devil aligned to borrow this power? I am of dragon ancestry, which makes me...more dragon than human. Would that work?
Also lending energy does not hurt you, does it?
[Raidou looked. Extremely tired the one time Dan Heng met him. Worrier is worrying.]
absolutely!

Battle Improvements
Bakugō Katsuki 💥 @ Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight
Type: Offensive.
Range: Short-range to mid-range, with long-range flexibility.
Team Ups: If you can follow orders and work with me, I'll make any team-up successful! I'm gonna focus on killing blows and mobility maiming.
Other: Reference a link to his Quirk.
Shoto Todoroki || @IcyHot
Type: My ability can be applied in all areas, defense, offensive or to provide cover for those needing extraction or distraction.
Range: Mid to long range with my quirk. Close combat and use of my quirk is something I can do also, but my comfort is in longer range combat at the moment.
Team Ups: I can and will work with anyone who would like to.
Other: Here is a link to learn about Half-Cold Half-Hot.
Taryon Darrington || @Goldilocks
Type: Support
Range: Flexible. I have a melee and ranged weapon, but I work best when I'm behind the heavy hitters
Team Ups: I can assist more than one person at a time, so a team of three or more is fine by me

Dan Heng || @dragontales (I had this written up but then DW ate it...)
Power:
- Spear fighting: My weapon, Cloud Piercer, is of a high quality make that helps speed up my movements and slow down that of others when they are struck with it.
- Cloudhymn magic: Essentially hydromancy. I can control water to attack, bolster movement, or even fly to an extent. Some temporary invulnerability and speed are also possible with this. I can conjure a dragon shaped out of water to fight alongside myself or whoever needs it.
- Imaginary energy: this one is harder to explain. Through this I can conjure waters as if they were from the sea of my birthplace. However, it is...easier to have a nearby source of water instead, as doing this for extended periods takes much more focus and energy than just using what's there.
Type: Much of my power aligns with the paths of hunt and destruction. I have...a sister who can heal with cloudhymn magic, but I am not capable of such. So. Offensive, mainly, with some support capability for mobility and cover.
Range: Flexible.
Team Ups: I am also flexible, as I've worked in many team makeups. I can provide cover or backup, or help maintain the front line. I am not much of a combat leader or strategist, but I can follow orders. I can grant temporary invulnerability and speed to another individual for a couple minutes, something I discovered I could do recently.
Bakugo, I will fight alongside you or offer support whenever. I also see there is someone with fire and ice abilities. Perhaps we can bolster each other's abilities, as well as some other strategies like cloud cover or an. Ice dragon maybe. Could be interesting.
Other: ((OOC time. I'm trying so hard to reconcile viddy game mechanics with RP.... Idk if it's ok to show like. Battle animations? I'm sure he can be seen doing stuff like this in simulation runs.
Battle animations, timestamped to the invuln thing and combat but the rest is good too, since it shows him floating and just. Making rain happen? Ok.
Example of support capability, making a platform out of water for someone who would have otherwise fallen.
Dan Heng acting quickly upon receiving instruction in combat, giving backup in executing a difficult mission, even if it meant injuring an ally...still caught said ally when he fell though so like. Yeah. Can do the teamwork thing.
Hope this helps!!))

Is there anyone here who has--or had--the ability to see and communicate with spirits or the like? I wanna figure out if I'm actually no longer haunted or if my ability to see them has just been shut off by Lilith in this place.
