[ well, that's quite the mental update. while ishmael isn't reeling from the download's sappy effects, she is in the mood to yap and gossip -- which is typically unlike her at all. and so, while they're all still waiting for the download to finish, she's got this to ask on their shared network. ]

Looks like this is going to take a while. And I know that most of us here were haunted by certain dreams a while back, me included. It's something I've already gone through back home so I'm not too bothered with it now, but I'm going to go ahead and ask anyway.

What are some of your happier memories?

That's probably easier said than done, though. You don't even have to think too far back and just share whatever made you happy since coming here. It's corny, sure, but we could definitely need some cheering up after all that on top of this horribly hot weather.

Of course, if you're too shy to share them to everyone in the class, I get it. I know I am. You can just tell me privately if you trust me that much, or you don't have to say anything at all and just read or react to everyone's contributions instead. Also if anyone's gonna come here to say shit like "Oh I'm not gonna share anything :/" then do us all a favor and not waste our time. Thanks. 👍

Ryoji compliments people because he sincerely believes others deserve to hear it. He's a really loving person, and he's like that with everyone -- I don't think there's any difference between him telling me that and him telling someone else the same.

What was your favorite part of Fontaine? Just the waters? I really liked the architecture myself!

Somehow I really doubt that. That's just me, though. He just came on to me way too strong the first couple of times so I was quickly turned off.

Those guys!!!! They're soooo cute... He got me a little kit to make him a plush of one, actually, since I love working with my hands. We stayed mostly to the city itself since that's all I was interested in, but I really feel like I missed out looking at them.

I haven't ventured inside the city yet either. But I figured that it's no different from other District from the City. The laws they implemented there are pretty draconian if I do say so myself.

They're pretty ridiculous! But... I'd say it's about the same size, yeah. Though way more open! And the names were so fancy sounding too! I'd love to visit for real, but I don't think it's possible.

I don't think anyone would be interested in seeing our messed up City... but maybe we could have a sort of culture exchange sometime? Using the same dataverse stuff. I think it'd be fun to see everyone's worlds that wanna show them!

That could work... Though at some point, people are still going to be curious about our City. But if it's just virtual reality, it should be fine. It might even teach them a lesson?

Good point. I arrived here last Christmas, so it was pretty festive as you'd expect. The cold got too annoying the next month, though.

Kuzu told me about ice rinks once and it's all I've been thinking about... Even though I'm sure I'd break my butt falling so much. Wouldn't it be way nicer than this heat, though?

Yeah, definitely. Either weather's going to frizz up my hair anyway, but I'd rather take the cold than the sticky heat right now.

I totally feel that. There's only so much hair we can put up to get it off our necks too, it's really... heavy? Kind of weird to describe it like that, but it is.

I wonder if we'll get back in time for the summer festivals... I was reading up on them last month and they sounded really, really fun -- I think we should be good, unless something else happens? Knocking on wood with both hands right now!!! Oh, and I'd really like to try shaved ice too, it'd make the heat worth it.

We definitely don't have those in the City. At least, none that I remember that involves killing and scamming people out of their hard-earned Ahn.
