For those who do not know, several Outsiders have vanished into rifts. The first was Ereshkigal, during the kaiju battle in Egypt. As far as I know, no contact has been established.

Since then, three other Outsiders have also vanished: Ratio, Godzilla, Tsurumaru. I have been investigating but coming up mostly short.

There were no witnesses for Ratio's disappearance, but Nyuu and Hayakawa have confirmed that a rift opened and took both Godzilla and Tsurumaru. Only they were taken, despite not being alone at the time.

I may have a clue as to who is next.

I do not wish to cause panic or alarm, and I am not sure what can be done to prevent anyone else from being taken. I will bring these findings to LILITH as well.

During the mission in Egypt, we were inserted into the dreams and memories of other Outsiders. I saw one of Ereshkigal's. In this memory, she was speaking with several other Outsiders. Seven to be exact. Among them were Ratio, Godzilla, and Tsurumaru.

The other four were Yzak, Hiyori, Kabru, and Silco.

Kabru is already gone, though his name is gone from the network, a glitch. Those taken by the rifts are still listed, but unable to be contacted.

I would encourage those others in then memory to not be alone until this is solved.

We were able to access surveillance around the area Dr. Ratio vanished. His disappearance wasn't captured on camera but his absence was. As if he was there one moment and gone the next. It's very likely he suffered the same fate as the others.

This is a serious problem. I agree with not panicking but that this point alarm is warranted. Thanks for arranging all this info. If you know the locations of where the others vanished, we can see about getting any footage for them as well. Maybe we can find more clues.

Obviously the ideal is to prevent anyone else from getting taken, period, but I'm trying to think of ways we can prepare for the worst case scenario. Can we maybe put together some kind of rift survival kit?

We still have too little information on what's on the other side. Dr. Ratio was organizing a team to research multiple projects last month, one of them being plugsuit improvements. I can check on the progress of those upgrades, and while it might be cumbersome, it'd be smart if there was at least one plugsuit per group until this is resolved.

People who have the fashion upgrade downloaded into their Ocular might be able to replicate the upgrades if they're given the specs to install in the program... Assuming they don't have some property that nanobots can't replicate. But if they can, that might cut down on the cumbersome aspect.

My first thought in the meantime is that maybe we could equip potential targets with kaiju leather gear or something. Not refined, but it'd be better than nothing, right?

I haven't though much about getting an upgrade like that. It seemed [nnnnnnot gonna call it vain since Cagalli got it, but] low priority for me. You've got me rethinking it now. We should see if there's a safe way of testing the theory.

We can test kaji gear as well. Maybe approach a rift carefully with each type of gear, not so close to cause ill effects but enough to get trace readings and the differences between. If one is more effective than another, that's the route we should pursue and perfect until we find each limit.

This doesn't bode well for Dearka or Cagalli, either. Dante brings up a good point that part of this could be connected to those who have heavily damaged the kaiju on past missions. This could be them retaliating.

There has to be a way of preventing this. We need far more intel.

We've made a fair amount of headway at least.

And we've got some smart people on this team; enough that I'm sure we'll make more. Toward finding a connection between the missing if there even is one, and more importantly, to get them back.

Still not nearly enough. Considering how little we know of where they may have ended up, and the known risk of mutations, it's already been too long. There has to be a way to get them back.

No, but one step is better than none, even if our goal is hundreds more away. We will find a way to get them back.

There still hasn't been a ping from Ereshkigal's device, but since we're still working on sending things through the rift so LILITH can gather information about the fortification success, I'll make sure we adjust the programming to try and get a read on the others. Maybe we'll have more luck with those who have only just gone missing.

We should see about expanding the range on our signals. It could be that between the weaker signal and the sporadic appearances of these extra rifts, or even the energy leaking out of them, there's only enough of a link to confirm its presence but not fully connect and send or receive messages.

That's easy enough to do.

We'll ramp up work so we can get more in. We're still waiting for more solid results on the fortification tests with the kaiju parts, but more wouldn't hurt if there's a chance they're getting more time in there to try.

I can't help but wonder if this is something they were aware of, somehow. Ratio's research team priority was the plugsuit enhancements, so we could better study the rifts and maybe someday pass through them. The kaiju have demonstrated more intelligence than one would expect from a massive, mindless beast, considering the specific mental effects in Egypt. What if he was targeted?
