What do you find least effective about our current strategies? How do you find our numbers and their chances thus far? Anyway, about the Kaiju: did you read up on everything that happened with the Imugi? Because if I had to pick an instance of the least effective strategies that have been used to deal with these things, I'd pick that one. Otherwise, as for the Kaiju itself that was the worst... ugh, probably that stupid giant worm that was in the desert.
