Hello, my name is Shoto Todoroki and I'd like to cook a few things and learn a few recipes.

I don't have much in the way of recipes to share, but if anyone knows anything other than pie with apples, I'd like those and am willing to make fair trades for the information. Any leads on where I can get those ingredients as well, synthetic would be fine, or substitutes would be fine. I'm still learning and I think I'm bound to make a mistake or two until I learn better. That's why I'm alright with synthetics for now.

I guess any recipes or tips on cooking would be welcome. My best friend Bakugo has tried to teach me, so I have some good basics to fall back on.

Together or separately? If either I've never had it. I'm guessing you mean quail as the food and not as a pet. I haven't had it as a pet either.

As someone who's scolding Yato (and everyone else) near constantly, Bakugo must be the kind of kid who looks out for others. Or that's how he sees it anyway.]

Together! Gazechi-ae involves taking a quail or other small bird and basting it in soy sauce before frying them up and dressing with vinegar. Though I guess it'd be a bit mean to cook a pet, even if you COULD.

[That's the BFF Bakugo alright and Shoto wouldn't be afraid to tell anyone how caring Bakugo really is. Even if Bakugo would make likely a noise and a threat of some kind in return.]

He means well, even if he sometimes says it a little harshly. Bakugo looks out for all of us back home in his own way. He's encouraging and wants us to do the best for ourselves, too.

[And possibly attempt a threatening explosion, or maybe that's just Yato's personality earning that sort of response.]

Hehe, that doesn't surprise me in the least. He seems to believe strongly in efficiency and people pulling their own weight, though I can't imagine him abandoning someone struggling, either.

Yeah, there's bound to be some kind of bird we can cook up! I'd be happy to help show you how it all comes together sometime, once we procure a chicken or something similar. Maybe there's avian kaiju that we could roast. Two birds, one stone!

Bakugo? No. He wouldn't let someone suffer through something he could help them with. They have to be able to understand that's what he's trying to do, but he never would abandon that kind of situation. You're right. You know him very well.

Oh I hadn't thought of cooking Kaiju.

That's not a bad idea... maybe until we find a proper cooking bird in the stores, we could substitute larger pieces of confirmed edible Kaiju?

Heh, not particularly, but he's similar to my own kid in a lot of ways. Only definitely more surly and temperamental. It seems to me he could use a little loosening up.

Right? Considering how big they can get, is seems like an ideal food source if they're not toxic or anything.

It'll be good to have chicken or quail again at some point, but until then, gotta make do with what we've got, and kaiju there seems to be in abundance. Hopefully they taste better than they act!

If he's like Bakugo, I'd be proud of a child like that but I agree that he could learn to be less temperamental. It isn't easy, I had to do it too. What's your child's name? Are they our age?

It does... and I'll ask around. It wouldn't be the worst. Until then I will also look out for any meat, synthetic or otherwise, that may even work as a substitute until we find what we need?

His name's Yukine, and he's fifteen now! He was definitely a bit of brat at first, but he's chilled out immensely to the point he's now a good kid like Bakugo, always trying to help people.

Sounds like a plan. There must be some kind of meat we can use, whether it's actual birds or flying kaiju. Not sure how I feel about eating synthetic stuff, though...
